Current projects:

sitting in with my favorite grateful dead inspired bands throughout the Northeast - primarily central MA, Western MA & Boston! Owsley’s Owls, Dead Ahead, and Black Sweatpants are all JGB/Grateful Dead-related projects I frequently join.

solo shows including me performing my favorite songs, plus experiments with fun new tech. Trying to blend the highest quality tones, both acoustic and electric, to bring life to very old songs that have lasted through the changing eras. Reciting them with the utmost respect to the original, and where applicable, carefully incorporating elements of the modern musical world, is my current goal at solo shows. Writing songs in the meantime and will begin performing those soon. :)

four-piece improvisational band primarily at local bars in Hudson, MA, Worcester, MA, and sometimes Boston, MA. We are called Mechanical Rat. We play a mix of our favorite “feel-good” music, and take chances together that sometimes work in our favor and other times do not :)
Jay & Dan (Bluegrass, Etc) - a duo project with my talented drummer/percussionist friend Dan Drohan. Playing bluegrass, old time, and everything in-between at Stone Cow Brewery in Barre, MA, and other local venues.
performing solo and in duo lineups throughout the northeast, playing a good mix of bluegrass and old time music.
working on writing tunes at the moment and hope to begin playing those soon :)
